So basically u spent 1000 bucks to put coconut coir in essentially a glorified 5 gallon bucket.

We are in our mid sixties retired and thinking of building or purchasing a used van as an escape vehicle to head south in January -April and explore warm climates. It would likely sit from then til September until we can find a campsite ( very hard to come by) at our precious Jersey shore . We will not be full timers . Trying to find or make a very simple build . Mid height ceiling , short length , just a bathroom shower stall with a cassette toilet , two drop down twin beds , no kitchen . We rented a camper can for a few days and hit the state parka with our dog and loved it ! We have a 18 year old cat that is hanging on and so we are doing this slow and steady because we don’t know if he can handle the travel ( for now pay a pet sitter ) .. does any of this make sense? Any recommendations for a Chasis ?

Understandable, but sad. Your video is very informative, and helps others know possible problems. It helped me adjust my expectations and come up with counters for the problems. 1. Use it for water use reduction per shower. This can be made to have a set small amount used per shower, no matter the length. Smaller reservoir replaced fresh each start. 1-2 gallon showers. Also reduces need for UV. 2. Custom back washable filters. Sand/KDF in the fillable empty canister filters. No Carbon. Carbon cannot be backwashed and will plug with soap. 3.Perhaps have a bladder tank downstream of filters, that backwashes on dump solenoid. This makes a small backwash per shower or dump. The bladder tank can have a separate solenoid to not backwash every time.

What makes San Miguel special is the locals ! Is so full of tourists that have overtaken over the city . Specially the centro. But if you do visit please explore ! There is more to San Miguel than just the parroquia . This is my hometown and it makes me sad that Americans, Canadians, Chinese and others have taken over it. I am grateful for tourists for their business they bring . Just know there is more to San Miguel than el Centro.

Defanetly take the panels off out of the 100 holes around 6 of mine had rust around, i wire drill brushed them Hammerite Krusted them and Hammerite smooth white painted the hole area, i am useing Static Caravan & Motorhome White Non Drying Bedding Sealant, Seamseal, i am putting a bead around each clip and a beed around the outer edge not the trim these guys are useing.

Did you run the frp panels over the lip of the shower pan? So that the frp is on the inside? Trying to figure out the best way to seal the bottom

Why are you dangling the filters outside exposed to dirt and mud? smh🤔 Use distilled water; not regular water. There are waxless, tallowless body soaps such as Regeneration multipurpose 0 fragrance hypoallergenic soap. I would change the location of the filters.

Oceano to Hearst Castle campgrounds and other parking features are patrolled by 2 very aggressive Calif Park Rangers / cops.....Ranger " K " And " B . E " they write tickets for the money because they know a 93 buck BS ticket will cost you 235 bucks if you are back home and just want to pay the fine... They have been told time and time again by their Boss to knock it off but they will not...They even go in hours before their shift to write tickets like they did to me and even others that work at the parks .....Ranger " B.E " was 2 hours early for his 7 am shift...watched me drive into the Morro Bay campground pulled up behind me so I stopped he ran my license for 15 mins then wrote me a BS ticket for non payment of camping fees ! Court date is 4 months off they hope you just go home then pay because you don't want to drive back here....Be careful I would video everything you do in these parks...especially when in contact with any staff there....

im not sure about it but maybe u could cut the lent to half to the water pump into the tank so it doesnt take the soap in the bottom of tank

you guys did great but you should really reverse the plumbing to enter the bottom and exit top of your heat exchanger so you don't have any air pockets trapped. Even if it's working now I would say it's almost essential for longevity and reliability you don't want an air lock or your pump trying to move air. That's how a radiator in a car works too in bottom out top

Where do vanlifers get water from when boondocking? Im planning to live outa my van in LA for 2months, my shower aint recirculating, and I’ll need to shower almost every day because I ride bikes. So I’ll need water frequently… thoughts?
